Maple Salmon

Up until about 5 years ago I didn't want anything to do with seafood. Crazy, right? Once I started to like it and eat it more regularly I couldn't help but think about all the delicious meals I had given up (not to mention the omega-3s I missed out on). My first time trying salmon was when some friends of mine lived in Alaska and made me some that they caught themselves. Let me tell you-- when I say that I became a salmon snob after my first experience having it, I'm not lying. Luckily, my sister came up with this mouthwateringly delicious recipe.

++ingredients

wild caught salmon (happy fish, healthy fish)

garlic powder

chili seasoning

pure maple syrup

fresh lemon

Coat the salmon with the garlic + chili seasoning; place in the oven on broil for 15-20 minutes

Once fish is cooked throughout, brush with pure maples syrup until it caramelizes

Serve with fresh lemon juice squeezed on top
